[KANNAPOLIS, NC] – September 9, 2026 – Haas Factory Team (HFT) announced today that CARDIACS Sports & Memorabilia will serve as the primary sponsor of Sam Mayer’s No. 41 Chevrolet for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The partnership will also feature a special throwback scheme honoring NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt.
“There’s something special about bringing a Dale Earnhardt throwback to Charlotte, and we’re excited to have CARDIACS Sports & Memorabilia be part of it,” said Joe Custer, President of Haas Factory Team. “Dale’s impact on the sport is still felt today, and having Sam behind the wheel of a tribute car makes this a meaningful weekend for us at Haas Factory Team.”
“I’m really excited to have CARDIACS Sports & Memorabilia on board at Charlotte and to have the opportunity to run a Dale Earnhardt throwback,” said Mayer. “He is such an important part of NASCAR history, so getting the chance to honor him with this car is pretty special for me.”
The partnership with CARDIACS Sports & Memorabilia will debut on October 10th at Charlotte, where Mayer owns two top-five finishes and a pole in five career O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts.
"CARDIACS Sports & Memorabilia along with the Cannon and Dayvault families are excited and filled with emotion to partner with Sam Mayer and the Haas Factory Team for the Fall Charlotte Race,” said Jonny Cannon, President & CEO of CARDIACS. “We are thrilled to be a part of honoring Dale and the Earnhardt Family by running the original pink paint scheme and side panels from the first car Dale, 19 years old, ever drove in a NASCAR race.
The pink 1956 K-2 Ford Victoria Dayvault Tune Up & Brake Service car is where Kannapolis, NCs favorite son, Dale Sr’s, story began.
With so many fans collecting the 1:24 and 1:64 die cast versions of the original K-2 car, the #41 tribute car will be produced by Lionel Racing and exclusively available at both CARDIACS locations as well as their online store.
Since 2007, CARDIACS Sports & Memorabilia has been North Carolina's destination for sports cards, collectibles, and fan gear. Founded by brothers Jonny and Jeff Cannon, what began as a passion for collecting has grown into a 6,000 square-foot store in Apex, NC and over 10,000 square feet in their hometown of Kannapolis, NC, offering the latest hobby boxes, graded and raw singles, autographed memorabilia, NASCAR diecast hobby supplies and fan items from the industry's top brands.
