LEBANON, TN (May 30, 2026) – Haas Factory Team overcame a rainout in qualifying at Nashville Superspeedway, forcing both drivers to start deep in the field for Saturday night’s NASCAR O’Reilly Series race. Sam Mayer charged from 34th to finish fourth, while Sheldon Creed rallied from the rear of the field to claim a 15th-place result.

41 Sam Mayer

With qualifying washed out by weather once again, Sam Mayer started Saturday’s race at Nashville from 34th and immediately went on the attack. The driver of the No. 41 Audibel Chevrolet gained 16 positions in the opening 10 laps and continued his charge through the field. By lap 45, he climbed 23 spots to finish Stage One in 11th, just outside the stage points.

Mayer remained one of the fastest cars on track in Stage Two, quickly breaking into the top 10 and passing Parker Retzlaff for as high as seventh. He held the position through the end of the stage to collect four stage points, continuing an impressive charge from his deep starting spot in his Audibel Chevrolet.

After restarting ninth for the final stage, Mayer continued moving forward, passing Carson Kvapil, Brandon Jones, and Jesse Love to reach the top five. A strong green-flag pit cycle kept him in contention, and shortly after a pass on Corey Day elevated him to fourth. Mayer held on over the closing laps to secure a fourth-place finish, earning his fifth straight top-10 result and fourth top-five finish in five Nashville starts.

“We were in the picture and needed something to happen there at the end, but it was a great day for us overall. I’m really proud of everyone at Haas Factory Team and I thought our Audibel Chevrolet was super fast” Mayer said. “We’ll head into the off weekend on a high note and keep it rolling in two weeks at Pocono.”

00 Sheldon Creed

After originally slated to start 24th, Sheldon Creed was forced to start from the rear of the field after the No. 00 Ollie’s Chevrolet underwent adjustments before the race. Working alongside teammate Sam Mayer in the opening laps, Creed quickly sliced through traffic and returned to his original starting position. He continued making steady progress throughout Stage One, climbing into the top 20 and finishing the opening segment in 17th.

Creed restarted Stage Two from 14th and spent much of the stage battling around the edge of the top 15. Despite briefly slipping back to 16th midway through the stage, he remained in the mix and recovered a position before the segment ended, crossing the line in 15th.

A strong pit stop during the stage break moved Creed up to 12th for the start of the final stage, directly behind Mayer. While track position proved difficult to gain, Creed maintained a consistent pace and cycled back to 16th following a green-flag pit stop on lap 145. In the closing laps, he successfully held off Jesse Love in a tight battle and brought the No. 00 Ollie’s Chevrolet home in 15th place.
