Cole Custer and No. 41 Team Grind Out Adversity-Filled Day at Texas.

FORT WORTH, TX (May 3, 2026) – Cole Custer and the No. 41 team overcame a pit-road incident on lap 93, working through the final two stages to get the Andy’s/Haas Chevrolet back on track and gain a position in the closing laps.

• 41 Cole Custer

Cole Custer started 27th at Texas in his No. 41 Andy’s/Haas Chevrolet on Sunday. He maintained a steady pace during the opening green-flag run and cycled into the top five before pitting on lap 41, returning to the track one lap down. A caution on lap 68 provided the opportunity to take the wave around, and Custer battled through the closing laps of Stage One to remain on the lead lap.
Following a pit stop at the end of the stage, Custer restarted 33rd and caught an early break with a caution on lap 93. However, contact entering his pit stall resulted in significant right-rear damage, sending the Andy’s/Haas Chevrolet to the DVP area for repairs. The No. 41 team worked effortlessly throughout the remainder of Stage Two to get the car back on track, and Custer rejoined the race on lap 184. He was able to pick up another position in the closing laps to cap off an all-around team effort on Sunday.“It was a tough spot with everyone on different strategies and it being a narrow pit road. We fought to get it back out there, and I can’t thank my guys enough for their hard work,” Custer said. “A big thank you to Andy’s Frozen Custard for everything they do for Haas Factory Team and for riding on the hood with me this weekend.”
