  • Las Vegas hosts its annual spring race this weekend as the NASCAR Cup/O’ Reilly Series embarks on the fifth points race of the 2026 campaign.
  • Cole Custer is the only four-time pole winner (2018, 2019-spring, 2019-fall, & 2024) at Las Vegas in the O’ Reilly Series. The California native started inside the top-5 in his final eight O’ Reilly races and had an average starting position of 3.9.
    • He is set to make his O’ Reilly Series debut this season with Sysco on the hood and first O’ Reilly start since November 2024 at Phoenix.
  • Sheldon Creed (143) sits fifth in the O’ Reilly Series points standings after four races, behind Carson Kvapil (146), Austin Hill (179), Jesse Love (181) and Justin Allgaier (184).

HFT Phoenix Recap: Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer both took home top-five finishes after they combined to lead 31 laps at Phoenix Raceway. Mayer started from the back of the pack and took home his first top-five finish of the 2026 season, meanwhile Creed earned his second of the year. Cole Custer’s day ended in the Cup Series after just 159 laps as damage from debris cut his race short due to a busted radiator.
