The Unfair Advantage | Vielight Neurotechnology and Sports Performance.
You train your body for the rigors of the game. A new study suggests you may be able to train your brain for resilience, too. Research conducted by the University of Utah & BYU highlights potential dual benefits observed in athletes using Vielight technology:
⚔️ PERFORMANCE (Cognitive Findings): -Processing Speed: The study reported significant improvements in fluid cognition, a key factor in seeing plays develop. -Sustained Attention: Participants demonstrated enhanced executive function, which is critical for maintaining focus and minimizing errors late in the game. -https://www.vielight.com/blog/second-...
🛡️ RESILIENCE (MRI Findings): -Cellular Wellness: Advanced MRI scans indicated that athletes using Vielight maintained healthier diffusion markers (often associated with cellular stress and inflammation) compared to the control group. -Structural Stability: While the season placed stress on the control group's brains, the study observed that Vielight users maintained greater structural integrity in critical deep-brain regions. -https://www.vielight.com/blog/utah-ne...

New $4.6M DoD Contract to Fund Major TBI Study Building on promising results from earlier studies with Vielight itPBM technology, investigators at the University of Utah and NYU have been awarded a $4.6M contract from the U.S. Department of Defense (CDMRP). This funding will support a large-scale, 300-participant randomized controlled trial. The study will evaluate the efficacy of Photobiomodulation (PBM) for treating persistent symptoms of chronic mild TBI in service members, veterans, and first responders.

About Vielight
Vielight develops non-invasive neurotechnology based on intranasal-transcranial photobiomodulation (itPBM), a targeted form of near-infrared light therapy designed to support mitochondrial activity, cerebral blood flow, and overall neurological function. Vielight’s patented system delivers light through both intranasal and transcranial pathways, enabling stimulation of deep and cortical brain regions. The technology has been studied in 30+ published research studies and 20+ clinical investigations involving more than 800 participants, including research conducted at Harvard Medical School, University of Utah, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and University of Toronto. Studies have explored effects on brain connectivity, cognition, motor performance, and neuroinflammation. Vielight devices are used by professional athletes, military veterans, and individuals worldwide seeking to support long-term brain health and cognitive performance.
